Shrewsbury Morris Dancers have over 40 years of dancing experience, providing an exciting mix of traditional border morris and innovative dance styles with strong musical support. Many of our dances have been written and choreographed by members of the team.

Some of our particular favourites are ‘Shrewsbury Flourish’ danced by the Lasses – originally written to teach at workshops at the Sidmouth International Festival, we now know of more than a dozen teams across the country who regularly perform this dance.

The Bull and Pump especially enjoy ‘Bricklayers’ – a dance rooted in the industrial heritage of Shrewsbury. It can get a little interesting when the trowels start flying!
